How long do the extensions last?

Do the extensions damage your hair?

No, in fact, the opposite! Great Lengths synthesized keratin bond mimics your natural hair’s structure by expanding and contracting with your hair shaft. This results in no strain on the hair. Great Lengths simply mould the bond around your natural hair and leaves it to cool. The bond is so small and lightweight that it is virtually undetectable and causes no stress on your natural hair. At Flipped, our stylists undergo a rigorous training process and are qualified to use Great Lengths.

How long can I get?

You can get instant length from 20cm - 60cm. The most popular size is 40cm.

How do I take care of my extensions?

Great Lengths are durable hair extensions that withstand saltwater/chlorine, the strain of exercise, and more. However, they also need some TLC to maintain their lifespan. Do not shampoo your hair for 48 hours after your Great Lengths service, including initial and maintenance services. Do not use products that contain sulphur, such as dandruff shampoos.

As part of your care pack, included in the recommended great lengths hair care products. When cleansing your hair and extensions, tilt your head back and shampoo from the top of the head downward. Avoid facing your head forwards. After rinsing de- tangle from mid strand to end, avoiding the scalp area.

After every wash, use the anti-tap water spray, this product is a PH neutraliser and ensures the bonds do not slide out over time.

Will Great Lengths hair extensions ruin my lifestyle?

Great Lengths hair extensions will not affect your lifestyle at all. The bonds of the hair extensions expand and contract with your hair and will not deteriorate over time or cause damage unlike other types of hair extensions such as glues, waxes, metal beads. With a little care, you can wear your Great Lengths hair up or down, go swimming, exercise and do most other things you would normally do without ever damaging the hair extensions or the bonds.

Activities that result in a constant, damp environment, especially swimming in seawater and chlorine, may lessen the longevity of your Great Lengths hair extensions. Before swimming, wet the hair completely to prevent chlorine and saltwater from sticking to your hair. And finish with the anti tap water spray.

Are the hair extensions noticeable?

Great Lengths hair extensions are virtually invisible. The bonds are set close to the head and never at the hair part or the hairline. Because the extensions are set in rows, in the natural direction of your own hair, they are discreet and indistinguishable to your own. You are able to wear your hair up, so long as you take a little care to make sure you haven’t pulled your hair back exposing a row of the extensions.

Can I tie my hair up?

Yes you can but please make sure you have dry your roots before tying your hair up. Wet hair or trapped moisture can compromise the bonds.

Before bed, pull your hair back into a soft ponytail to prevent tangling while sleeping.

Can I re-use my hair extensions?

Great Lengths hair last from three months to five months or even longer with the right care. When the extensions are removed, a special solution is needed to break down the natural keratin bond. As this happens, the bond is destroyed rendering the extension unsuitable for further use.
